How we handle your details
Plain English, and true of what actually happens when you send the form. Nothing on this site sets tracking cookies, and there are no third-party scripts on any page.
Who holds your details
One Day Business Intelligence LTD, a company registered in England and Wales. Write to hello@onedaybi.com about anything on this page.
What we keep, and only when you send the form
Browsing this catalogue sends us nothing at all. When you send the form we keep the name, email address, company (if you gave one) and message you typed, plus which dataset page you sent it from and any answers you picked in Find relevant datasets.
We keep those answers because they tell us which data people are looking for and cannot find — that is how we decide what to add next.
We do not store your IP address, hashed or otherwise. We do not profile you, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone.
Why we are allowed to
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked us a question and we need your details to answer it, and to keep a record of what was asked. You can object to that at any time, and we will stop.
How long we keep it
Your message and details are deleted 24 months after you send them, or sooner if you ask. Your details are held on Microsoft's servers in Europe.
What you can ask us to do
- Send you a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it — tell us and we will action the erasure and confirm when it is done.
- Stop using it, without deleting it.
Email hello@onedaybi.com. We will reply within 30 days, and there is no charge. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
We will not add you to a mailing list
Sending the form is a question, not permission to market to you. This matters particularly if you are a sole trader or in a simple partnership: the rules treat you as an individual rather than as a business, so we would need your clear consent first, and we will not assume it from a form you filled in to ask about data.
